I'm a Singaporean, living large in Japan. I came here on the JET Programme, and have been here 8 years. And I've been everywhere. I've moved cities 4 times, and have travelled to 34 out of 47 prefectures. I am now settled (for now!) in Kanagawa Prefecture with my partner, both of us working full-time here while being full-time parents to our two very spoilt cats.
During my time here, I've started on many projects to share my adventures in Japan. I've tried blogging many times (and stopped), I've posted too many pictures on Tumblr and on Instagram, and had a podcast. I started Letters from +81 (exclusive to subscribers) to share about my daily life in Japan, during the start of the pandemic and Postcards from +81, the monthly edition published on Substack. I recently also worked on sharing things on Lemon8.
As with all my projects, my goal has always been the same. I am a very introspective person, and am obsessed with details of my very mundane daily life. I hope to have a record of life's fleeting moments, my hopes and dreams, anger and disappointment, and share them with people. And I hope you'll enjoy them as much as I've enjoyed creating them.
